File Transfer
|
| › |
FTP is a way to transfer files in ways that email cannot easily accommodate, such as files with large size or a large quantity of files. Please follow the directions below for access. |
Directions
|
| › |
Click this link for the DEC FTP Site → ftp.decengineers.com
|
| • |
You should have been given a username and password from your DEC contact. If so, then go to the File menu and Login As. Then submit your username and password. Drag-and-Drop your files to and from the appropriate folders on the site.
|
| • |
If you have not yet been given a username and password, then visit the email page in order to contact us and request one. |
Troubleshooting
|

Most newer web browsers (the most common is Internet Explorer 6.0) will not have a problem giving you access to our FTP site. However, if you do have a newer browser and are having trouble, then try making the following changes:
|
| • |
Change the settings on your browser to use Passive FTP.
On Internet Explorer 6.0, go to the Tools menu, to Internet Options, then to the Advanced tab. Under Browsing, make sure that Use Passive FTP is checked so that it is turned on.

If your browser is older, then it may not have the ability to access our FTP site. In this case, you may need to download some software in order to access our site.
Try one of the following:
|
| • |
CuteFTP → www.CuteFTP.com
SmartFTP → WWW.SMARTFTP.COM
WS_FTP → www.ipswitch.com |
